Installed gym subfloor too high and now gym rubber floor has issues being installed.

Exterior drain not to engineer’s design intent that was specified on the plans.

Drilled 3 extra 12” holes in the second floor which weakened the floor.

Window threshold drywall from water intrusion.

Fireplace installed too far to the right and is off center by 10” and now is resulting in complications with the millwork in that area.

Look at the yellow line that the arrow is pointing towards, this is a completed door and now has a 9″ gap to the outside. This was intended as a pocket sliding door.  The sliding doors were built incorrectly and must now be discarded and replaced because of incorrect manufacturing and installation.

During construction the house is always filthy with debris everywhere.  In this case it is creating issues in the door jam.

Tile in the shower.  Not what you would expect in a custom home. One big puzzle piece.

Installed roof that held water and when asked to fix was told it was at homeowner’s expense.

Built summer kitchen BBQ without approved drawings and had to rebuild it 3 times and attempted to charge homeowner for all changes.

Architectural drawings showed approximately 1200 sq. ft. of porcelain slab to be installed on numerous exterior walls.  Walls were stuccoed and then painted making it very difficult if not impossible to install slabs.  Paint and stucco should be removed before installing slab.

As per architectural plans, see #10 detail that clearly shows no stucco to be applied and no paint.

MEP engineer specified the home to have a Ufactor of .60.  Ufactor is the rating that shows the amount of sun/heat that enters the windows.  The lower the number, the less sun/heat that comes through.  The windows that were installed have a Ufactor of .80.

The air conditioning ducts make a 90 degree turn which is not per architectural drawings and are now crimped in 2 places. This is seriously effecting airflow to the home and more than likely will cause the home to be very hot in the summer months.

Dirt is undermining into the Intercoastal. Nothing was done to correct it even after numerous requests were made.

Shower tile was installed and owner was informed that this install was customary and nothing could be done to fix it. Enlarge the photo and look at how many cuts are in all the shower floors.

There were 8 invisible wall speakers installed.  As per the speaker manufacturer only 1/16” of drywall was to be installed over each speaker.  Instead, the drywall company installed ½ “of drywall mud covering the speakers resulting in the speakers not sounding normal.  Speakers were removed and reinstalled.  It was an error by the GC and the drywall company but billed to the homeowner at approximately $8000 to repair it.

Master bedroom slider:  Simply washing the windows caused severe water intrusion.

30 foot great room sliding windows are not only dinged and dented but they also leak profusely from where the windows are attached to the frames and from the glazing.

    • Homeowner was double-billed for a generator.
    • Builders attempted to overcharge for the tile that was selected.
    • Builders attempted to overcharge for the elevator that was selected.
    • Builders attempted to overcharge for approximately 50 high hat lights that they claimed were installed in the house but were never installed.
    • Numerous subcontractors were overpaid for work that was not completed and going against the contract between the builders and the homeowner.
